Detailed results

With Fastlane only several weeks away where he, along with his ‘brother’ Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar, will compete in a Triple Threat Match to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, SmackDown kicks off with Roman Reigns as Roman would go one on one with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, with his League of Nations brethren King Barrett & Alberto Del Rio in his corner. During the match, Roman Reigns had Rusev right where he needed him as he sized “The Bulgarian Brute” upward for the Superman Punch, but that’s when King Barrett & Alberto Del Rio would get involved, pulling Reigns out of the ring for the disqualification. Del Rio subsequently throws Reigns into the barricade before Dean Ambrose rushes out to make the save and, after taking it to Rusev, the Intercontinental Champ would dive off of the ring apron, but Barrett & Del Rio would move out of the manner and Ambrose would accidentally hit Reigns! Del Rio levels Ambrose with a kick to the face before Ambrose is rolled back in the band where the Accolade is locked by Rusev in on the Intercontinental Champion. Reigns subsequently thunderstorms the ring using a steel seat as well as The League of Nations makes a fast departure from the band.

During the match, Kevin Owens brings Kalisto to the surface, dropping Kalisto face first on the barricade before showing the announce table. Nevertheless, it was a ploy by Owens as, just when it looked like Owens was going to powerbomb the flyer that is high on the announce table, Kalisto right rather throws into Dolph Ziggler! Before rolling Kalisto back into the ring Owens subsequently catches Dolph with a superb kick, but that’s when Dolph would scramble towards the ring. This would divert Owens long for Kalisto to take advantage, fast rolling up Owens to score the three- pick up the win and count. Before Dolph Ziggler rushes the ring and Owens is fast to escape the ring following the match, Owens would knock Kalisto down.

Sporting a new appearance, Ryback was in activity on SmackDown as “The Big Guy” would confront The Wyatt Family’s Erick Rowan, with Braun Strowman in his corner.

Chris Jericho would subsequently be a guest on comments for a match he has a vested interest in as, after a confrontation on RAW, “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles would go one on one with The Miz on SmackDown. During the match, AJ Styles would go on The Miz for the Styles Clash, but The Miz would roll out of it before the expert opponent would lock in an entry play known as the Calf Crusher, making Miz tap out to pick up the win. Following the match, Chris Jericho would face AJ Styles in the ring, saying that Styles is demonstrating to the world how great he is and, if AJ were not great, then he wouldn’t have conquered Jericho a couple of weeks past. Jericho subsequently inquires AJ if he’s “excellent”, requesting Styles if he’s what it requires being a champ and does he have what it needs to conquer Jericho twice. Jericho subsequently challenges Styles to a rematch on next week’s SmackDown, telling AJ to “demonstrate” that he is amazing. Jericho then extends his hand and asks if AJ takes Styles and his challenge takes the handshake before both opponents go face to face, refusing to look away before Jericho eventually leaves the ring.

The WWE Tag Team Champions were in actions on SmackDown as The New Day would confront The Social Outcasts’ Heath Slater, Adam Rose, & Curtis Axel in a 6-Man Tag match. Finally, it came down to Curtis Axel and Kofi Kingston in the ring which is when Kofi would roll upward Axel, placing his feet on the ropes for the prohibited edge to pick up the win for The New Day.

After being trapped by Brie Bella on RAW, Charlotte would be looking to rally on SmackDown as the Divas Victor, with Ric Flair in her corner, would go one on one with Alicia Fox, with Brie Bella in her corner, in a non-title match. Finally, it was Charlotte locking in the Figure Eight, making Alicia Fox tap out to pick up the win.

Then it was time for the main event as, after a conflict before in the nighttime, Roman Reigns would team with his ‘brother’ Intercontinental Champ Dean Ambrose to confront League of Nations’ members Rusev & Alberto Del Rio, with King Barrett in their corner. During the match, Alberto Del Rio would have Roman Reigns on the surface, and Dean Ambrose would go for a dive, but King Barrett would pull Del Rio out of the way, and Ambrose would almost take out Roman again. The confrontation between Ambrose and Reigns would subsequently be interrupted when a charging Rusev drops with the Superman Punch. Roman subsequently rolls trapping Rusev to pick up the win for himself and Ambrose, connecting with the Spear and Rusev back into the ring. Ambrose & Reigns subsequently stand tall in the ring, managing to stay despite a few inadvertent events on a unified front.
