iPhone Mobile bursts into flames during flight freaks out everyone onboard
An iPhone 6 unexpectedly burst into flames last week.
When it caught fire, Anna Crail, a college student on the Alaska Airlines flight, was supposedly seeing a film on her iPhone.
“All of the sudden there was like 8-inch fires coming out of my cell phone,” Crail told KOMO-TV. “And I flipped it away onto the surface, and it got under someone else’s seat, as well as the fires were only becoming higher, and a lot of folks stood up.”
“When it began I thought we were going down, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, there is a fire on the airplane,'” Crail said.
Flight attendants immediately put the fire out. But it is still not clear as to how it began.
Based on ABC News, Apple is looking into the event, alongside the FAA.
It is frightening when we hear reports of hoverboards at random bursting on the ground. We can just imagine how terrifying it has to be when a gadget catches fire on an airplane.
