Gerua: 1st Song From Upcoming Film ‘Dilwale’ Premieres at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir Theater

Gerua: 1st Song From Upcoming Film ‘Dilwale’ Premieres at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir Theater:
Celebrities Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol found “Gerua” on Wednesday at the theatre where their 1995 movie, “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge,” played for almost 20 years. “Dilwale” is set to open on Dec. 18.

Rohit Shetty Productions and red Chillies Entertainment presented the intimate track written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were present along with Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan. The song has really been sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra and is filmed on the senior pair.

Besides the media, supporters also thronged the old picture hall, best known for screening hits like “Mughal E Azam” that premiered here, “Johny Mera Naam” as well as the 1000 week matinee run of the SRK-Kajol picture “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.”

Pritam has given a tune which is going to be hummed by men and women of all ages, as well as the tune will take love affair to another degree.”

We are extremely lucky to have done those and have done many amazing tunes. But Rohit was quite clear and exact about how he want to shoot on this one. Rohit paid attention to each detail beginning from selection of place, costumes and every other technicality, because it was crucial to him.”
He included “it is about the old world allure of Kajol and me, but presented in a way that’s very much like Rohit Shetty. Shooting for the tune was not exceptionally easy. Rohit made everything seem simple, although it was cold, and we could hardly walk. He’s required so much effort, and this would perhaps never be understood except in the video on the making of the picture. With this type of manager, the tune is bound to turn out fantastic.”

Kajol remembered, “the shot the tune in a beginning-to-end program of seven days. The worked extremely difficult, and it was seriously cold, but we had an excellent time in all, as the tune itself is so great that we loved performing to it.”

Composer Pritam said, “This movie has been incredibly unique for me, since it’s the very first time I have composed for Shah Rukh. I’ve consistently mentioned to him how I truly needed to work with him before I retire. Pritam feel lucky and happy to have been given this chance to make a romantic tune for Kajol and Shah Rukh, our era’s best onscreen couple. I expect ‘Gerua’ lives up to it.”
But this is Pritam’s first movie with Kajol after multiple movies with husband Ajay Devgn, including his production, “All the Finest.”
