Fire broke out at “Make in India” event – no casualties so far

Mumbai: The fire broke out during the programme below the stage where many VVIPs were present.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had inaugurated ‘Maharashtra night’ at the event in Girgaum Chowpatty where the fire started.

The authorities are currently evacuating people from the place. There aren’t any reports of any casualties.

BJP leader, Ashish Shelar: “I must complement the authorities for fast actions, they saved lives of a lot of individuals.”

“The fire was uncontrollable, fortunately, individuals have been evacuated. The authorities worked very fast. Everybody got out safe, although it was unlucky. This occurred., 20,000-25,000 people were there at the site when including the VVIPs

Lyricist, Prasoon Joshi: The moment the recital got over, I left another occasion and the place began and the fire broke out. When this occurred, I was outside looking for my car. I expect everybody is safe.”

Performer, Shreyas Talpade: Do not understand what precisely caused the fire. I was seeing a performance and was designed to go into the stage after that. I was observing it from the wings. The minute we were told there’s a fire, we began getting folks out of there.

Performer, Isha Koppikar: “I saw a dancing performance when this occurred, then abruptly the stage was engulfed in smoke. Only trust nobody is hurt, although I was backstage when this occurred. Authorities were quick to respond and evacuated people from that point.”
